Thursday, November 24, 2022 –Son to President Yoweri Museveni, Muhoozi Kaineruigaba, is already in top gear to take over the presidency after his father leaves office in 2026.
The army general who was recently promoted by father ahead of the succession campaigns has openly announced his plans to rule Uganda for other more years.
He recently regretted when Uhuru Kenyatta peacefully handed over power to his deputy William Ruto in the just-concluded general elections.
He went ahead to claim that he had spoken to Kenya’s former President, and expressed regret that he had stepped down at the end of his two terms instead of clinging on power.
“My only problem with my beloved big brother is that he didn’t stand for a third term. We would have won easily!” Gen Kainerugaba stated.
In an attempt to damage-control, President Museveni would emerge with an apology over the actions of his son on social media.
