NAIROBI METROPOLITAN SERVICES DIRECTOR General Mohammed Badi is a shocked man after learning that Nairobi’s Globe Cinema Round About was long time ago grabbed by city cartels.
Revealing this sad news on Monday January 12, Badi claimed that the land in question was taken away by some crooked individuals contrary to details at the Ministry of Lands that shows otherwise.
According to the NMS boss, the Round About is supposed to be converted into a matatu terminus for those plying Juja Road from Eastleigh and Thika Super highway.
He further disclosed the piece of land had been invaded by private developers who some had already been compensated wrongfully.
“In some areas, they got compensation in land, some communities opted for government land and surrendered this one. We have already finished the legal framework for that exchange,” Badi said.
This however was faulted by some concerned Kenyans who wondered why Badi had allowed such compensations to take place on land that belonged to the government. Here is the aerial View of Nairobi city-
