Monday, November 7, 2022 –Police have been deployed across the country to help deal with those trading in contraband products.
Acting Inspector General of Police, Noor Gabow, has today confirmed their commitment to help the tax man in enforcing laws that will see cases of tax evasion reduce.
IG Gabow, therefore, directed his troops to commence nationwide crackdown on illegal and contraband goods now on an increase in the country.
Police all over the country have received orders to remain vigilance in their respective areas so that to deal with such unscrupulous business people.
“Regional and County commanders should take command responsibility over these operations in coordination with KRA as necessary,” the police IG said on Monday November 7.
Evading tax has robbed not only government of its fair revenues but also citizens of their development what saw President William Ruto recently promise to lead from the front in paying taxes.
