ELECTORAL AND BOUNDARIES COMMISSION IEBC is back at the center of controversy after it emerged that it is planning to award a controversial French IT firm another equipment tender.
IEBC is allegedly planning to offer Idemia – a firm that supplied registration kits to the IEBC in 2017 elections – another multi-million tender.
According to information reaching Dundapost Desk, the fresh tender award is amounting to a whopping sh 10 billion and which the Treasury Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yatani has also confirmed.
Idemia had been banned by the Parliament from involving itself in supplies of Kenya’s electoral equipment.
Idemia was formerly referred to as Safran Morpho Limited before it rebranded to OT-Morpho and then Idemia after it merged with Orberthur Technologies and Safran Identity and Security(Morpho).
