United States of America USA has warned Government of Kenya against allowing China to build its military base in the country.
A report titled ‘Military and Security Development’ from the United States Department of Defense DoD on Tuesday Sept 1st detailed plans by Chinese government to set up their military bases in Africa starting with Kenya.
That their main target was Republic of Kenya with plans already underway to start its construction against the wishes of ‘global security guidelines’.
The disturbing development now termed a security threat to America, if upheld by both China and Kenya, then the former will have managed to establish a robust and logistical military network across Indian Ocean.
So far, the report shows that Chinese government had already put up a fully-fledged military base in Djibouti; a project launched 3 years ago.
American Department of Defense DoD further argued that the proposed base would boost Chinese naval, air and ground forces.
“The PRC is seeking to establish a more robust overseas logistics and basing infrastructure to allow the PLA to project and sustain military power at greater distances.
“The PRC has likely considered Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates, Kenya, Seychelles, Tanzania, Angola, and Tajikistan as locations for PLA military logistics facilities,” partly went the report.
China is in a rush to claim a big chunk of land across the globe so that they can compete the likes of United States of America i both trade and securoty. This according to reports will bolster their international interests.
