Sunday, November 20, 2022 –A security guard who picked a bag full of money sh 2 million at Wilson Airport has landed full scholarship with a university.
Wanjiku Waigwa was honoured with the rare scholarship by International Leadership University ILU following her good gesture of returning a suit case loaded with over sh 2 Million to a tourist.
This scholarship announcement was made by Vice Chancellor Dr. Tim Kiruhi during school’s graduation ceremony held last week in which the university explained that the administration officer will further her studies for her future career plans.
“This year we have recognized a policewoman because in the image of many Kenyans police are not to be trusted, they are not people of integrity but there are some who are and we want to encourage those people to be taken persevere,” VC Kiruhi stated.
This scholarship will also help serve as an example to other officers who, perhaps, could have been tempted to take off with the money.
The security guard based at Wilson Airport on Lang’ata Road in Nairobi won the hearts of many people recently when she returned a tourist’s suitcase containing over sh 2 million.
