Saturday, October 22, 2022 –A section of officers from the dissolved Special Service Unit SSU have been arrested.
According to a reliable source, this happened just hours after they had been summoned for grilling over their illegal activities around the country.
Early reports indicate that they will be facing extra judicial charges including increased kidnapings, abuse of office and conspiracy to commit felony.
Currently, they are being held at an unknown place awaiting to be dragged to court next Monday to answer to the charges.
The four arrested today are believed to have been key players in a group of ten officers who had been summoned by the Internal Affairs Unit IAU on Friday October 21 over the killing of two Indians who were in the country for campaign-related activities.
Zaid Sami Kidwi and Zulfiqar Ahmad Khan are said to have been abducted just days to the August 9 general election.
Their disappearance, according to William Ruto’s longtime aide Dennis Itumbi was orchestrated by the government.
